    An addendum to the Health and Literacy Compendium with a focus on issues of culture and multi-lingual materials.

    Targeted to those who work with refugees or immigrants, this site includes extensive information on integrating cultural information into clinical practice, and a collection of patient education materials in a variety of languages, some in audio or video format.

    Interactive tutorials that teach about a variety of health topics using animated graphics, with sound and simple text. Available in both English and Spanish.

    New South Wales (NSW) Multicultural Health Communication Service
    This site has resources to help health professionals communicate better with non-English speakers and multilingual patient information. Search for publications and resources by language or topic.

    Speaking Books
    These books can be developed for specific audiences and health topics. Each page reads aloud with the push of a button. The books include topics such as diabetes, high blood pressure, depression, and suicide prevention and could be used in waiting rooms or adult education classes. Several language versions.
